Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Telmo Cearense took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute Toninho Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anísio Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Furtado in the 16th minute of play. Telmo Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telmo Cearense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renato Prestes having to make a save. Anísio Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Telmo Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Fernandez in the 35th minute of play forced Cassununga EC's goalkeeper Anísio Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orindiuva EC's Sidney Bueno pulled a muscle in his leg after 36 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruninho Bueno during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Orindiuva EC booed when Cassununga EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toninho Furtado to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Orindiuva EC's Cauã Almeida got a free kick in the 51st minute. 54 minutes into the match, Orindiuva EC's goal looked a bit too open when Tião de Carvalho came free, but Renato Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cassununga EC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bruninho Bueno hit a great ball. Toninho Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toninho Furtado scored 0-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anísio Bueno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dedé Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cassununga EC's Adelino Pernambucano got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute of the match Adrianinho Soares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renato Prestes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cassununga EC's zone, Toninho Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Bueno came out of the goal and Toninho Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Toninho Furtado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orindiuva EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some careless play in the Orindiuva EC defense, Telmo Cearense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renato Prestes. The Orindiuva EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renato Prestes should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Orindiuva EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
