After having played for 17 minutes, Wiliam Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Detonaltas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo de Amaral in the 19th minute of play forced Tomezinho's goalkeeper José Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilmar Romero charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilmar Romero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilmar Romero hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Américo Arósio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tomezinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 40 minutes, Wiliam Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Antunes to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Detonaltas FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Veloso. The audience was convinced that Vítor Antunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulisses Arruda was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Américo Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Arruda having to interfere. A collision led to Detonaltas FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gilmar Romero hit a great ball. Ulisses Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Antunes in the 63rd minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Vítor Antunes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulisses Arruda. Detonaltas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vítor Antunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 79th minute Wiliam Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tomezinho's Evandro Moura got a free kick in the 79th minute. Wiliam Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Detonaltas FC's Ulisses Arruda got control of the ball when Américo Arósio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Denílson Schmidt's shot from long distance in the 89th minute was not bad at all, but Detonaltas FC's Ulisses Arruda knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post.
