In the 8th minute, Acácio de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo de Amaral in the 15th minute of play forced Apurima SC's goalkeeper Dênis Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulisses Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Porto in the 17th minute. 0-1 became the score in the 22nd minute when Wiliam Arantes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Apurima SC booed when Detonaltas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Apurima SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Gilmar Romero, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Raimundo Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ulisses Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Costa during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Felipe Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Detonaltas FC fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Detonaltas FC's Erasmo de Amaral looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half Detonaltas FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo de Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Porto in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulisses Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Wiliam Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Detonaltas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiliam Arantes couldn't finish the play. In the 58thth minute of the game Juan Arruda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Detonaltas FC's Ulisses Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th match minute, Detonaltas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Martins to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Detonaltas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Arruda came free, but Ulisses Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Apurima SC's Wágner Vargas got a free kick in the 68th minute. Detonaltas FC's Erasmo de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Apurima SC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Erasmo Trigo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Juan Arruda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulisses Arruda was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 83 minutes into the game, Artur Donato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Detonaltas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apurima SC the free kick. Artur Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Erasmo de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Detonaltas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Detonaltas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
