Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Reinaldo Neiva kicked off to start the match. Marcos Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Nildo Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franca's Caco Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Neiva in the 12th minute of play forced Franca's goalkeeper Guto Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nildo Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Guilherme da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guto Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Neiva in the 19th minute of play. Nildo Vale came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Franca's Marcos Gonçalves. But to his dismay, Marcos Gonçalves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jurupema SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olívio de Souza was slow to take the kick. During this time Franca's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Olívio de Souza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jurupema SS's Nildo Vale did a great save. 66 minutes into the match, Jurupema SS's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Pires came free, but Nildo Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caco Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Jurupema SS booed when Franca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Reinaldo Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Marcos Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caco Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Vale having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Jurupema SS got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Neto.
