Tibúrcio Corrêa hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Olívio de Souza from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Fabiano Mota's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Franca booed when Vasco Da Gama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
