Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sapupara FC's Wellington de Sousa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustavo Maia hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Cido Machado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Noel Pernambucano. Maracaja's Cido Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Nunes in the 11th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Sapupara FC got a freekick which was hit by Wellington de Sousa. 13 minutes into the match, Maracaja's goalkeeper Cido Machado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Hermes. In the 16th minute, Hernani Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Maracaja's Cido Machado got control of the ball when Francisco Hermes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wellington de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cido Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Francisco Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Sapupara FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Hermes couldn't finish the play. Francisco Hermes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Cido Machado made a huge save. Gugu Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Maracaja's Fernando Queirós in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sapupara FC's goalie prevented a goal. 38 minutes into the match, Maracaja's goalkeeper Cido Machado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Hermes. Sapupara FC's Francisco Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nico Loyola during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Maracaja got a freekick which was hit by Nico Loyola. Maracaja's Cido Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington de Sousa in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Nico Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Cido Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sapupara FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Sérgio Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Novaes having to interfere. Francisco Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Sidnei Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maracaja's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidnei Rossi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Hermes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sidnei Rossi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio Novaes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Sidnei Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Cido Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cido Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
