Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Deivid Paraibano started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute Lauro Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Deivid Paraibano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13thth minute of the game Deivid Paraibano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espinosa's Luís Gustavo Schmidt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Mauro França was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cataua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espinosa the free kick. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cataua's goalkeeper Conrado Siqueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luís Gustavo Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Oliveira in the 19th minute of the match. Norberto da Fonseca hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Deivid Paraibano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Luís Gustavo Schmidt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Deivid Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo Schmidt having to interfere. Lauro Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Luís Gustavo Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Siqueira having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinho Vargas during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Espinosa booed when Cataua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rafinha Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafinha Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Conrado Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Gustavo Schmidt came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cataua's Deivid Paraibano. But to his dismay, Deivid Paraibano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fausto Gomes to strike the kick off in the second half. Deivid Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafinha Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Conrado Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Luís Gustavo Schmidt acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 63rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fábio Couto. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Deivid Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cataua's supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Gustavo Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fausto Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Espinosa's goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Paraibano came free, but Luís Gustavo Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Espinosa's Luís Gustavo Schmidt got control of the ball when Deivid Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Deivid Paraibano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espinosa's Luís Gustavo Schmidt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute Rafinha Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Gomes in the 84th minute of play forced Cataua's goalkeeper Conrado Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lauro Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Cataua getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Claudinho Vargas hit a great ball. In the 94th minute of the match Kléberson Quintal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrado Siqueira skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Deivid Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cataua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deivid Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cataua supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cataua would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
