Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felipe Castro started the match with the kick off. São João Futebol Clube's Jarbas Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Albuquerque in the 7th minute of play forced Valentin EC's goalkeeper Norberto Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Fred Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natanael Tasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Norberto Koehler made a huge save. São João Futebol Clube's Gilson Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Simão in the 18th minute of play. Gilson Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 22 minutes, Felipe Castro made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. São João Futebol Clube's Gilson Ramos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute Felipe Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarbas Albuquerque in the 32nd minute of play. Natanael Tasso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 36th playminute. Doni de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Norberto Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natanael Tasso came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Norberto Koehler could save by the left post. Norberto Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarbas Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Jarbas Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jarbas Albuquerque made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natanael Tasso in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norberto Koehler saved Valentin EC from getting behind. Dedê Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 62 minutes of play, São João Futebol Clube's Jarbas Albuquerque made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Norberto Koehler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilmar Simão struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Gilson Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valentin EC. Gilson Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Norberto Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natanael Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natanael Tasso in the 78th minute of the match. Valentin EC were furious when Elói Pinheiro was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Norberto Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Natanael Tasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberto Koehler was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
