Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Jefferson Garcia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Claudinei Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jangada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jefferson Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Ferreira's late challenge caught a Jangada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Jangada FC booed when Flamengo AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jefferson Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Décio Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Igor Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Claudinei Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Nogueira in the 95th minute of play forced Flamengo AC's goalkeeper Jefferson Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
