An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Silva in the 8th minute of play forced Ervalia SS's goalkeeper José Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlinhos de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Guto Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laércio Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guto Maranhense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Laércio Lucas took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guto Maranhense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlinhos de Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guto Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos de Toledo in the 52nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Augusto Silva got free with José Maia in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Ervalia SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. José Augusto Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the O Líder das Excursões players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ervalia SS.
