Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcel do Vale started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Marcel do Vale reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnaldo Almeida. The goal made the score 1-0. Arnaldo Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel do Vale in the 8th minute of play. Zé Augusto Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. National FC's Arnaldo Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save National FC from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, E. C. Irmãos Nedel's Romário Linhares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Patrício Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Remo Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored National FC's protests and gave Remo Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. E. C. Irmãos Nedel's Zé Augusto Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldão Rossi got free with Arnaldo Almeida in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orlando Maciel might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Maciel ran back to his position shaking his head. Patrício Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Figueiredo having to interfere. Orlando Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. National FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Marcel do Vale scored to the left of an out of position Arnaldo Almeida, making the score, 3-0. Arnaldo Almeida was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcel do Vale showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 43 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Maciel to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Marcel do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavinho Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Arnaldo Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Augusto Azevedo in the 80th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Orlando Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. National FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, National FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Azevedo came free, but Arnaldo Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Augusto Azevedo scored 6-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Patrício Aguiar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. E. C. Irmãos Nedel's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
