Norberto Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Santana in the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Ilopolis SC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Fontes came free, but Jefferson Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Calango's Vito Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson Machado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vito Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Machado having to interfere. Calango's Norberto Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei do Nascimento in the 18th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Calango fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Ilopolis SC. Natã Amorim stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Norberto Brito. 1-1. Pedrinho Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedrinho Fontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jefferson Machado having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Hélder Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calango's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Pedrinho Fontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jefferson Machado was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A hard shot 32 in the game by Pedrinho Fontes from a close distance when the talented Jefferson Machado managed to make a qualified save. Ilopolis SC's players were relieved. Dagoberto Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Jefferson Machado made a huge save. Jefferson Machado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jorge Velasco. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dé Santana to strike the kick off in the second half. Dagoberto Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dagoberto Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Calango getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dagoberto Amaral hit a great ball. Calango's Norberto Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Santana in the 57th minute of play. Ilopolis SC's Jefferson Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Fontes in the 58th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinei do Nascimento got free with Norberto Brito in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Dinei do Nascimento could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Norberto Brito however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Calango's zone, Dinei do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Brito came out of the goal and Dinei do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Dagoberto Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Dagoberto Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jefferson Machado. Ilopolis SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dagoberto Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Nilson Freitas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Ilopolis SC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Fontes came free, but Jefferson Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pedrinho Fontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jefferson Machado was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Calango were the better team. Calango's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
