In the 6th minute, Silvério Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germano Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué do Valle in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Humberto Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canaguape EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Germano Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Esporte Clube Panteras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Queirós to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes Canaguape EC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Tavares. When Conrado do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Esporte Clube Panteras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado do Vale couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute Silvinho Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germano Senna came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Canaguape EC's Luciano Varela. But to his dismay, Luciano Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Umberto Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donatello Carvalho in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donatello Carvalho to make the kick off. Giro Paris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Umberto Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Umberto Guedes came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Esporte Clube Panteras's Donatello Carvalho. But to his dismay, Donatello Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Donatello Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Umberto Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Canaguape EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Esporte Clube Panteras:s goal. Vito Meireles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Germano Senna came out and tried to block the shot, but Vito Meireles slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 67th minute. Umberto Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giro Paris, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 76 minutes into the match, Canaguape EC's goal looked a bit too open when Giro Paris came free, but Umberto Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Umberto Guedes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giro Paris went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Umberto Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Giro Paris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giro Paris scored 5-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Umberto Guedes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvinho Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Umberto Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Canaguape EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Esporte Clube Panteras.
