Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Kléberson Massa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Luciano Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarbas Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 8 minutes, Durval Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catanduvas EC and the Guaporanga AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Guaporanga AD booed when Catanduvas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kléberson Massa in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Matorin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Guaporanga AD getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Valdemar Mazza hit a great ball. Cristóvão Paes took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luciano Torres. Luciano Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zé Paulo Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Zé Paulo Nogueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A collision led to Catanduvas EC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Michel Leme hit a great ball. Pedrinho Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Cristóvão Paes took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luciano Torres. Luciano Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Guaporanga AD's zone, Zé Paulo Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Torres came out of the goal and Zé Paulo Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luciano Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Nogueira in the 40th minute of play. When Cristóvão Paes came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Catanduvas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Paes couldn't finish the play. If Zé Paulo Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Paulo Nogueira to make the kick off. If Cristóvão Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Zé Paulo Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luciano Torres was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Cristóvão Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Torres having to interfere. Zé Paulo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Torres having to interfere. In the 65th minute Michel Leme suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 65 minutes into the game, Pedrinho Antunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guaporanga AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catanduvas EC the free kick. Pedrinho Antunes hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Cristóvão Paes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 76th minute, Armandinho Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guaporanga AD's Kléberson Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristóvão Paes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Luciano Torres made a huge save. If Dedé França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Guaporanga AD's Kléberson Massa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marquinhos Matorin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Cristóvão Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Torres having to interfere. Pedrinho Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guaporanga AD's zone, Cristóvão Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Torres came out of the goal and Cristóvão Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedrinho Cearense might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luciano Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrinho Cearense ran back to his position shaking his head. Armandinho Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Cristóvão Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catanduvas EC played a much better game than Guaporanga AD and deserved their victory. The Guaporanga AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
