Samuel Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. A hard shot 6 in the game by Ulryk Juroszek from a close distance when the talented Sérgio Recife managed to make a qualified save. Formoso SS's players were relieved. In the 9th minute Chico Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Formoso SS's Chico Mandrak got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdir Simão made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sport Club Baid's Kauã Vale. Ulryk Juroszek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Nestor da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sport Club Baid's Samuel Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor da Silva in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor da Silva in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nelsinho Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Sérgio Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, one of Sport Club Baid:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sport Club Baid. Hamílton Negri shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 37th minute, Chico Mandrak made a precise shot to the right of Samuel Carvalho. Sport Club Baid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Egídio da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Chico Mandrak sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute, Ulryk Juroszek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Recife was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Samuel Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Chico Mandrak sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Formoso SS getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Geovani Marques hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Romário Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Baid's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the match, Formoso SS's goal looked a bit too open when Ulryk Juroszek came free, but Sérgio Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Formoso SS's Thiago Porto got a free kick in the 78th minute. Kauã Vale hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Samuel Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor da Silva in the 81st minute of play. Sérgio Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Vale in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Formoso SS's goal looked a bit too open when Ulryk Juroszek came free, but Sérgio Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sport Club Baid's Ulryk Juroszek got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Chico Mandrak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Formoso SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to Sport Club Baid getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ramón Sarmento hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Nestor da Silva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Samuel Carvalho, 1-3. The Formoso SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Formoso SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
