The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Donato Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Donato Dias got free in front of the goal in the 8th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Toninho Cruz was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mário Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Carlos Amorim got free with Toninho Cruz in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samuca Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jefferson Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Descampado FC's goalkeeper Toninho Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Carlos Amorim. A collision led to Descampado FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Aírton de Amorim hit a great ball. Descampado FC's Toninho Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Descampado FC from getting a goal against them. Descampado FC's Toninho Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Dias in the 22nd minute of play. Jefferson Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Toninho Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Dias in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Descampado FC's Toninho Cruz got control of the ball when José Carlos Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jefferson Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luiz Souto in the 29th minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sílvio Luiz Souto was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, César Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toninho Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If José Carlos Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio Rezende hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Donato Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute Sílvio Luiz Souto suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Zézinho Gaúcho charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zézinho Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zézinho Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. José Carlos Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toninho Cruz having to make a save. Donato Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Toninho Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Tebaida's Mário Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toninho Cruz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Dias in the 80th minute of play forced Descampado FC's goalkeeper Toninho Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Donato Dias notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Descampado FC's Toninho Cruz. Toninho Cruz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Carlos Amorim struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Toninho Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tebaida. Toninho Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Amorim in the 98th minute of the match. Tebaida walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
