If Chico Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Leonardo Eger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Praia AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 15th minute, Ramón Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Eger in the 16th minute of play forced Uruou EC's goalkeeper Sidnei Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Vianna in the 21st minute of play forced Praia AD's goalkeeper Dorival de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorival de Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramón Vianna's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. When João Augusto Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Praia AD's protests and gave João Augusto Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Uruou EC booed when Praia AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Ramón Vianna rounded Praia AD's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Sidnei Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramón Vianna in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorival de Toledo saved Praia AD from getting behind. If Fred Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Cesinha de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorival de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Vianna in the 43rd minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fred Amaral to make the kick off. Dorival de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Vianna in the 57th minute of play. Uruou EC's Chico Mandrak got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorival de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramón Vianna went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 65th minute, Valdir Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Carlos Campidelis during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Praia AD getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Antônio Carlos Campidelis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Abreu in the 73rd minute of play forced Praia AD's goalkeeper Dorival de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorival de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Vianna in the 74th minute of play. If Chico Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Ramón Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorival de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Chico Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Amaral in the 83rd minute of play forced Uruou EC's goalkeeper Sidnei Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Chico Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Uruou EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Mandrak couldn't finish the play. Dorival de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Mandrak in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Uruou EC's Ramón Vianna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dorival de Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Sidnei Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Amaral in the 94th minute of play. Leonardo Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Uruou EC had won after a very even match.
