Paranavai AL's Eliézer Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Bittencourt in the 16th minute of play. If Delfim Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Bittencourt in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliézer Fantini saved Paranavai AL from getting behind. A collision led to Paranavai AL getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Walmir Mesquita hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Cearense in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sydney Zonta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Tupe FC's Eduardo Leal got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute, Sandro Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Delfim Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliézer Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Bittencourt in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Walmir Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paranavai AL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tupe FC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Paranavai AL's zone, Jonas Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliézer Fantini came out of the goal and Jonas Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Paranavai AL getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Luiz de Almeida hit a great ball. When Jonas Bittencourt, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 66 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Eliézer Fantini was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jonas Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Paulo Dracena during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Paranavai AL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tupe FC:s goal. If Mauro Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Tupe FC to win.
