The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jailson Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Nogueira having to interfere. Jailson Travassos succeeded in the game's 7th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Perivaldo de Azevedo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Umbauba's goalkeeper Ademir Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo de Toledo. When Osvaldinho Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Umbauba's protests and gave Osvaldinho Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Umbauba got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Amaral. When Edgard das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Ademir Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ininga SC. Ademir Queiroz was a little too slow when Marcos Freitas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-2. Gonçalo Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Umbauba's Jailson Travassos in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ininga SC's goalie prevented a goal. Emerson Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Manoel Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Ininga SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Travassos came free, but Manoel Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerson Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Manoel Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Umbauba's Jailson Travassos in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ininga SC's goalie prevented a goal. Manoel Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Travassos in the 42nd minute of the match. André Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Ininga SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Umbauba:s goal. The referee gave Umbauba a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edgard das Neves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ininga SC's Manoel Nogueira. 1-3. The supporters of Umbauba booed when Ininga SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manoel Nogueira was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Jailson Travassos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jailson Travassos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Manoel Nogueira came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Umbauba's Emerson Barbosa. But to his dismay, Emerson Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. In the 70th match minute, Umbauba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Pitta to maneuver through the defense. Enio Alvarenga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ademir Queiroz. Umbauba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emerson Barbosa's late challenge caught a Ininga SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emerson Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 played minutes Umbauba got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Barbosa. In the 77th minute Jailson Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Ininga SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Travassos came free, but Manoel Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ininga SC's zone, Emerson Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Nogueira came out of the goal and Emerson Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emerson Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jailson Travassos might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manoel Nogueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jailson Travassos ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Ininga SC's zone, Emerson Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Nogueira came out of the goal and Emerson Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emerson Barbosa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Manoel Nogueira firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Ininga SC's Nilton Reis got a free kick in the 87th minute. The supporters of Ininga SC booed when Umbauba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emerson Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Nogueira having to interfere. Nilton Reis hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jailson Travassos in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manoel Nogueira saved Ininga SC from getting behind.
