Ininga SC's Manoel Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ininga SC from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Dito Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Ininga SC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel da Fonseca came free, but Manoel Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Freitas to make the kick off. Ininga SC's Manoel Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel da Fonseca in the 51st minute of play. In the 61st minute, one of Ininga SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ininga SC. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for SANTOS. Matheus Mattos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Manoel Nogueira. 1-0. Wiliam de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silas Custódio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes SANTOS got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Quirino. Silas Custódio came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ininga SC's Adolfo de Toledo. But to his dismay, Adolfo de Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.
