In the 3rd minute, Durval Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramón Nevess short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Iuri Tavares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Diniz in the 8th minute of play forced GRÊMIO FARRAPO FC's goalkeeper Miguel Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to GRÊMIO FARRAPO FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Nildo Matorin hit a great ball. GRÊMIO FARRAPO FC's Miguel Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Diniz in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute Kauã Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kauã Diniz struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Miguel Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cocaes AD. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Válbson Miranda in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iuri Tavares saved Cocaes AD from getting behind. Ramón Neves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Iuri Tavares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Miguel Sarmento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kauã Diniz's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Fellipe Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Miguel Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Cosme in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Kauã Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fellipe Cosme to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramón Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iuri Tavares having to make a save. GRÊMIO FARRAPO FC's Válbson Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, one of Cocaes AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. João Pedro Braga shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Válbson Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iuri Tavares having to interfere. Ramón Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When GRÊMIO FARRAPO FC's Válbson Miranda in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fellipe Cosme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Sarmento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Miguel Sarmento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kauã Diniz in the 90th minute. Kauã Diniz struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Miguel Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cocaes AD.
