The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee gave Bitaculo SS a penalty, 3 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nelsinho Donato, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Anta SS's Júlio Moreira. 1-0. A collision led to Bitaculo SS getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Donatello Couto hit a great ball. Donatello Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Anta SS's goalkeeper Júlio Moreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fernando Zanette. Luiz Fernando Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Júlio Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionísio Dias in the 21st minute of play forced Anta SS's goalkeeper Júlio Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Júlio Moreira managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Bitaculo SS's Luiz Fernando Zanette fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 30 minutes of play, Bitaculo SS's Luiz Fernando Zanette made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Luiz Fernando Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dionísio Dias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Anta SS's zone, Dionísio Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Moreira came out of the goal and Dionísio Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fernando Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Júlio Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dionísio Dias came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Bitaculo SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionísio Dias couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Dionísio Dias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Moreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Luiz Fernando Zanette scored 4-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Moreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Murilo Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Rodolfo Peixoto made a huge save. In the 84th match minute, Anta SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Júlio Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Bitaculo SS's Dionísio Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
