Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luís Fernando Borges took the kick off in the first half of the match. Luís Fernando Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Severino Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sunders San Andreas booed when Avencal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Silva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jarbas Barbosa came out and tried to block the shot, but Rogério Silva slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. When Rogério Silva came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sunders San Andreas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Silva couldn't finish the play. Avencal's Jarbas Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Silva in the 15th minute of play. Rogério Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Avencal's goalkeeper Jarbas Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Silva. After 28 played minutes Avencal got a freekick which was hit by Severino Severo. If Luiz Fabiano Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Severo's late challenge caught a Sunders San Andreas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Severo helped the player get up and apologised. Severino Severo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 34 minutes of play Avencal's Luís Fernando Borges was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Luís Fernando Borges hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Avencal's zone, Rogério Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Barbosa came out of the goal and Rogério Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38th play minutes Aloísio Souza shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jarbas Barbosa and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 43rd minute, Luiz Fabiano Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Severino Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Rogério Silva made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Sunders San Andreas getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ruy Cerezo hit a great ball. Avencal's Luiz Fabiano Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Duarte Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Silva in the 63rd minute of play forced Avencal's goalkeeper Jarbas Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Avencal's Severino Severo got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 71st minute, Rogério Silva made a precise shot to the right of Jarbas Barbosa. Avencal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Rogério Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avencal's goalkeeper Jarbas Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Rogério Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sunders San Andreas's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarbas Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rogério Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Rogério Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunders San Andreas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sunders San Andreas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
