The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Júnior Guedes ran back to his position shaking his head. David Sá scored 3-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Figueira FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Sá. The supporters of Figueira FC booed when Sede SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Hugo Pombal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sede SS's Caco Monteiro didn't even have to move. When David Sá came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Sede SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Sá couldn't finish the play. Júnior Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júnior Guedes made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, David Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sede SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodoro Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56thth minute of the game Júnior Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Figueira FC's Teodoro Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teodoro Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Teodoro Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Guedes in the 63rd minute of play. Teodoro Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júnior Guedes's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. David Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Mendonça having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Figueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Guedes came free, but Teodoro Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Sá in the 87th minute of play. The Sede SS fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Sede SS's David Sá looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
