After 7 minutes, Aloísio Sabóia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibatui AD and the Vajoia SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ibatui AD getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Aloísio Sabóia hit a great ball. After 11 played minutes, Vajoia SS's Robinho Veiga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Messias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vajoia SS reached it. Ibatui AD's Maurinho Trevisan got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Valdomiro de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Váldson Palmeira fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vajoia SS's protests and gave Váldson Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Vajoia SS got a freekick which was hit by Váldson Palmeira. After 25 played minutes, Ibatui AD's Cássio Botelho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nildo Guerra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ibatui AD reached it. Rogério Loureiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Nildo Guerra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Charles Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Trevisan in the 34th minute of play forced Vajoia SS's goalkeeper Nildo Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Nildo Guerra managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Ibatui AD's Rogério Loureiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nildo Guerra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maurinho Trevisan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 40 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vajoia SS's Valdomiro de Sena got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 47 minutes into the match, Rogério Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nildo Guerra. Vajoia SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogério Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Vajoia SS's Nildo Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Loureiro in the 54th minute of play. When Maurinho Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Ibatui AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho Trevisan couldn't finish the play. Vicente Messias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdomiro de Sena's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Rogério Loureiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nildo Guerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Valdomiro de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho Trevisan couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Coutinho's late challenge caught a Vajoia SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Coutinho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vajoia SS booed when Ibatui AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nildo Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Loureiro in the 85th minute of play. Nildo Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Ibatui AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
