In the 3rd match minute, Sede SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauã Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdomiro de Sena in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caco Monteiro saved Sede SS from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Yan da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vajoia SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Yan da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caco Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Vajoia SS getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Váldson Palmeira hit a great ball. Sede SS's Roberto dos Santos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vajoia SS. In the 12thth minute of the game Júnior Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vajoia SS's Nildo Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabiano Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Vajoia SS defense, David Sá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nildo Guerra. The Vajoia SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nildo Guerra should have stopped the shot. Haroldo Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Júnior Guedes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nildo Guerra was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Caco Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro de Sena in the 26th minute of play. Váldson Palmeira hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When David Sá came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Sede SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Sá couldn't finish the play. Yan da Cunha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Caco Monteiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Sede SS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the match, Júnior Guedes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nildo Guerra, 0-2. Nildo Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sede SS's Caco Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro de Sena in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Valdomiro de Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vajoia SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to Sede SS getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Toninho Meirelles hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Valdomiro de Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by David Sá got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
