After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Jorge Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alvarenga's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adhemar Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Vieira having to interfere. When Eduardo Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Terras SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Rosa couldn't finish the play. Eduardo Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ramiro Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Terras SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 45th minute, Jorginho Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adhemar Pinheiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute Paulo Renato Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Mello's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Caetano Vieira firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Alvarenga's zone, Eduardo Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Gomes came out of the goal and Eduardo Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Toscano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvarenga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Terras SS the free kick. In the 72nd match minute, Alvarenga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Trancoso, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ramiro Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Rosa in the 79th minute of play forced Alvarenga's goalkeeper Ramiro Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Terras SS's Caetano Vieira got control of the ball when Jorge Mello tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th minute, Caetano Arósio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eduardo Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terras SS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
