The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bayeux SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valério Dionísio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Décio Sá showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Nestor Paraense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valério Dionísio having to make a save. Cido das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Valério Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ademar de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bayeux SC's Willian Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino Pirani in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Bayeux SC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Décio Sá hit a great ball. If Durvalino Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Matorin to make the kick off. Valério Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Matorin in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Cido das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bayeux SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valério Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cido das Neves struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Valério Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bayeux SC. Cido das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Durvalino Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 90 minutes into the game, Belmiro Matorin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Valério Dionísio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bayeux SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of GD Atlântico for a fine match.
