Willian Brasil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimir Gomes in the 7th minute. Vladimir Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Brasil having to interfere. After having played for 11 minutes, Cido das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bayeux SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bayeux SC's Nicolas de Azevedo got a free kick in the 14th minute. Edinho Diniz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Chico Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Cido das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Chico Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arthur Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chico Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido das Neves in the 25th minute of play. Willian Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 28 played minutes Bayeux SC got a freekick which was hit by Erik Pires. Pirainha's Vladimir Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Matorin in the 35th minute of play forced Pirainha's goalkeeper Chico Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chico Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arthur Cerezo to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Bayeux SC defense, Arthur Cerezo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian Brasil. The Bayeux SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian Brasil should have stopped the shot. Chico Rocha was a little too slow when Belmiro Matorin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Arthur Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willian Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. David Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Nicolas de Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chico Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Bayeux SC's Belmiro Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willian Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Gomes in the 71st minute of the match. Chico Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Belmiro Matorin's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Chico Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Belmiro Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
