Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Richard Motta made the kick off which started today's match. After 9 played minutes Taparuba got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas de Carvalho. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Carioca in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermínio Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, Taparuba's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Gomes came free, but Hermínio Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Taparuba's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Carioca came free, but Hermínio Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Serafim Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Lino Gomes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Taparuba's Hermínio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Carioca in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Escadão FC's Lino Gomes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hermínio Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tadeu Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Duarte having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Lino Gomes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Taparuba's Hermínio Duarte. Hermínio Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute, Zé Pedro Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Motta in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermínio Duarte saved Taparuba from getting behind. The Taparuba players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Escadão FC were winning 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisinho Garcia to make the kick off. Marco Carioca came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hermínio Duarte could save by the left post. If Marco Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Motta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Hermínio Duarte skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Escadão FC fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Escadão FC's Richard Motta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Escadão FC's Richard Motta got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Taparuba's Hermínio Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Taparuba from getting a goal against them. If Richard Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes in the game, Lino Gomes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hermínio Duarte having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Taparuba's zone, Marco Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermínio Duarte came out of the goal and Marco Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Taparuba fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Escadão FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
