Papaokena EC's Carlos Eduardo Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Gomes in the 5th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Escadão FC's Marco Carioca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Eduardo Tasso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Escadão FC's Alessandro Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Paulista in the 17th minute of play. Jairo Secco scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alessandro Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Eduardo Tasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Motta in the 23rd minute. The Escadão FC fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Escadão FC's Richard Motta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 30 minutes into the game, Lino Gomes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Carlos Eduardo Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nildo Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Tasso having to interfere. Marco Carioca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Eduardo Tasso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lino Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Teodoro Paulista made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Papaokena EC got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Secco. Lino Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Tasso having to interfere. Alessandro Silveira made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Nildo Gaúcho sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute, Marco Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Papaokena EC's zone, Richard Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Eduardo Tasso came out of the goal and Richard Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Eduardo Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Jairo Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77thth minute of the game Richard Motta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Papaokena EC's Carlos Eduardo Tasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jairo Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Secco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Papaokena EC's Carlos Eduardo Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Motta in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Motta in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Eduardo Tasso saved Papaokena EC from getting behind. Lino Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lino Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Escadão FC had played much better football throughout.
