Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luisinho Garcia got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodoro Paulista in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermínio Duarte saved Taparuba from getting behind. Carlos Eduardo Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisinho Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Duarte having to interfere. A collision led to Papaokena EC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Laerte de Azevedo hit a great ball. Hermínio Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodoro Paulista's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Teodoro Paulista notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Taparuba's Hermínio Duarte. Hermínio Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 25 played minutes Papaokena EC got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Gaúcho. In the 27th minute, Nildo Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadeu Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Teodoro Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Papaokena EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Paulista couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute Luisinho Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Taparuba's Tadeu Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodoro Paulista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermínio Duarte having to make a save. Nildo Gaúcho took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermínio Duarte. Hermínio Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Carlos Eduardo Tasso was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Luisinho Garcia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luisinho Garcia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodoro Paulista made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Papaokena EC's goal looked a bit too open when Dida Teles came free, but Carlos Eduardo Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitinho Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitinho Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Taparuba getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Vitinho Castro hit a great ball. Luisinho Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Tasso having to interfere. After 62 minutes of play, Taparuba's Antônio Carlos Cardoso made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Eduardo Tasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Eduardo Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antônio Carlos Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Teodoro Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nildo Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Duarte having to interfere. Hermínio Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Paulista in the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Antônio Carlos Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taparuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Carlos Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antônio Carlos Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Carlos Eduardo Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
