After 41 minutes, Ulysses Cearense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marrao EC and the Paratiji AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Glauco Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Durvalino Duarte struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jânio Paranaense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glauco Paiva's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The supporters of Marrao EC booed when Paratiji AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Gabriel Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Damião in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th minute Léo Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durvalino Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glauco Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jânio Paranaense having to make a save. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marrao EC reached it. In the 95th minute, Glauco Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Marrao EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paratiji AD.
