Cido Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agnaldo de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias de Godoi having to interfere. If Cido Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido Quirino struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Elias de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mangalo. Alan Montenegro in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zé Carlos Passos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zé Carlos Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Pinheiro in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Pinheiro in the 21st minute of play forced Mangalo's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Palmeira hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Hugo Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Zé Carlos Passos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válter Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Espumoso SC booed when Mangalo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agnaldo de Queiroz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cido Quirino to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match Zézinho Esteves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elias de Godoi skillfully saved the ball. The long shot by Tomás Toledo in the 58th minute really tested Elias de Godoi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido Quirino in the 64th minute of play forced Espumoso SC's goalkeeper Elias de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agnaldo de Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Elias de Godoi made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Mangalo's zone, Hugo Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Carlos Passos came out of the goal and Hugo Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cido Quirino in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias de Godoi saved Espumoso SC from getting behind. Agnaldo de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Mangalo got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Rodrigues. Zé Carlos Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Pinheiro in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Agnaldo de Queiroz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mangalo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Cido Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias de Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Elias de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido Quirino in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Alan Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
