Dênis Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Eusébio Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duda Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th match minute, Domelia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Romero to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 8 minutes, Luís Fernando da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sapecada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fernando da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Domelia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Cordeiro came free, but Duda Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fernando da Fonseca in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duda Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Luís Fernando da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sapecada's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fernando da Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duda Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes, Luís Fernando da Fonseca made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Domelia AD's Duda Barros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th minute Luís Fernando da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diamantino Dracena during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fernando da Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. Sapecada's Eusébio Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Paraibano in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Domelia AD's Hílton Saraiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Hermes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 58 played minutes, Domelia AD's Roger Luz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eusébio Hermes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Domelia AD reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Tavares got free with Duda Barros in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Fernando da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Barros having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dênis Paraibano in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusébio Hermes saved Sapecada from getting behind. 72 minutes into the game, Domelia AD's Hílton Saraiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eusébio Hermes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 76th minute of the match Tiago Gabriel Mesquita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eusébio Hermes skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Luís Fernando da Fonseca took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Duda Barros to make any attempt to save it. 83 minutes into the match, Sapecada's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Saraiva came free, but Eusébio Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duda Barros was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Luís Fernando da Fonseca capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Fernando da Fonseca really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 87th minute, one of Domelia AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Domelia AD. Hílton Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Eusébio Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dênis Paraibano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eusébio Hermes was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Eusébio Hermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Saraiva in the 97th minute of the match. Eusébio Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hílton Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sapecada had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
