The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raí Guedes during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Raí Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Didi Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sapecada reached it. verusca¹s team's Célio Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando da Fonseca in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sapecada defense, Luís Fabiano Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusébio Hermes. The Sapecada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusébio Hermes should have stopped the shot. Luís Fabiano Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Eusébio Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fabiano Brasil in the 45th minute of play forced Sapecada's goalkeeper Eusébio Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fernando da Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sapecada's Eusébio Hermes got control of the ball when Luís Fabiano Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Célio Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Seco in the 88th minute of play. Júlio Tavares took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Célio Cunha. Célio Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. verusca¹s team's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
