After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Thomás Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipoeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomás Dante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elder de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thomás Dante hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Evaristo Mesquita made a precise shot to the right of Elder de Queiroz. Siupe EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Thomás Dante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elder de Queiroz. Thomás Dante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Gláuber Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Siupe EC's goal looked a bit too open when Thomás Dante came free, but Elder de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmo Trancoso hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Evaristo Mesquita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder de Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Gláuber Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durvalino Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Jarbas Donato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipoeira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Siupe EC the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Kauã Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomás Dante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Durvalino Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gláuber Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho Arósio got free with Gláuber Salgado in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ipoeira booed when Siupe EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmo Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Durvalino Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Eduardo Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gláuber Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Durvalino Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Siupe EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durvalino Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Durvalino Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 minutes, Zézinho Arósio made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ipoeira's Gláuber Salgado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Zézinho Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Ipoeira's goalkeeper Gláuber Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zézinho Arósio. Ipoeira's Jarbas Donato pulled a muscle in his back after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Luís Eduardo Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Evaristo Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ipoeira's goalkeeper Gláuber Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Zézinho Arósio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Gláuber Salgado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With his leg Gláuber Salgado managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Siupe EC's Zézinho Arósio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
