Tomás Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrézinho Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Moraes in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Urubu booed when Maranhao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urubu's Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Eger in the 16th minute of play. Zé Augusto Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Maranhao's Régis Mota broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Fred Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natã Eger in the 28th minute. Luís Fábio Barros scored 3-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Natã Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo made a huge save. Maranhao's Andrézinho Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Eger in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Alexandre Eger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Andrézinho Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Natã Eger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Urubu's Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomás Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Maranhao's Natã Eger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Maranhao's Natã Eger. But to his dismay, Natã Eger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After having played for 68 minutes, Duda Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maranhao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maranhao's Natã Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Luís Fábio Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute Alexandre Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Natã Eger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After having played for 83 minutes, Natã Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maranhao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natã Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Urubu's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Eger came free, but Sílvio Luiz de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes, Perivaldo Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urubu and the Maranhao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Perivaldo Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 5-1 became the score in the 93rd minute when Natã Eger elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Maranhao's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
