Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anísio Zilles started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cauan Vergílio got free with Almir Mesquita in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Barreto in the 7th minute of play forced Recreio's goalkeeper Almir Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 9 in the game by Cauan Vergílio from a close distance when the talented Almir Mesquita managed to make a qualified save. Recreio's players were relieved. In the 10th minute, Yuri Sport Club's Waldemar Mandrak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Almir Mesquita. Almir Mesquita yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Cauan Vergílio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Almir Mesquita. Recreio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cauan Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Tomé Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Zilles, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Recreio's Fred Freitas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomé Sousa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After having played for 23 minutes, Fred Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recreio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomé Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Zilles in the 25th minute of the match. Tomé Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anísio Zilles, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 29 played minutes Recreio got a freekick which was hit by Fred Freitas. In the 30thth minute of the game Cauan Vergílio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Recreio's Almir Mesquita was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Recreio's goal looked a bit too open when Cauan Vergílio came free, but Almir Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fabrício Prestes fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recreio's protests and gave Fabrício Prestes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, one of Recreio:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Recreio. 38 minutes into the match, Yuri Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Guedes came free, but Tomé Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Armando Guedes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 39 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tomé Sousa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Recreio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Yuri Sport Club's Tomé Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Zilles in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldemar Mandrak to make the kick off. If Fred Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Almir Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anísio Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fred Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Mandrak couldn't finish the play. The Yuri Sport Club players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
