The score was now 1-2.

After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Juarês Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Zumbi's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rômulo Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Acácio Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Wilson Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vila Zumbi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
