Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Mazagao SC's zone, Jardel Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Bueno came out of the goal and Jardel Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nelson Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Hermes in the 8th minute of play. If Dário Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mazagao SC's Nelson Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Hermes in the 14th minute of play. Mazagao SC's Pedro Paulo Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dito Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nelson Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Várzea! If Jardel Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dito Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Várzea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dito Bueno couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Jardel Hermes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nelson Bueno. The goal made the score 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Paulo Quadros made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Fausto Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mazagao SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Várzea the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Fausto Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Luiz Paraibano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 56thth minute of the game Dito Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazagao SC's Nelson Bueno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute, one of Mazagao SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mazagao SC. Nelson Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Bueno in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Wágner Lucas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Nelson Bueno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mazagao SC's Pedro Paulo Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dito Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nelson Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dito Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dito Bueno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Bueno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Várzea players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
