If Isaltino Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ibituruma's Maurício Gomes got a free kick in the 7th minute. Isaltino Fontes took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cafu Leal. Cafu Leal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Valério Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Valério Passos came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the MarcuSantos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valério Passos couldn't finish the play. Cafu Leal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valério Passos went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the match, Ibituruma's Valdo de Carvalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chicão Mangueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valdo de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chicão Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo de Carvalho in the 39th minute of play. Valério Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Leal having to interfere. If Valério Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaltino Fontes struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Cafu Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MarcuSantos FC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valério Passos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, MarcuSantos FC's Isaltino Fontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cafu Leal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Isaltino Fontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cafu Leal. Ibituruma's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaltino Fontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind MarcuSantos FC's goalkeeper Chicão Mangueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valdo de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Chicão Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Lino Paraíba made a precise shot to the right of Chicão Mangueira. MarcuSantos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. In the 80th minute, Oséias Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valério Passos in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cafu Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cafu Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th play minute Isaltino Fontes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cafu Leal. 2-4. Valdo de Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chicão Mangueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Vágner de Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vágner de Sousa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes MarcuSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Vágner de Sousa. 92 minutes into the match, MarcuSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo de Carvalho came free, but Chicão Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdo de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo de Carvalho in the 96th minute of play forced MarcuSantos FC's goalkeeper Chicão Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
