The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wágner Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Félix in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Caribas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Elias de Amaral came free, but Fellipe Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Caribas SS's zone, Júnior Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fellipe Vale came out of the goal and Júnior Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmyr Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Wágner Nunes was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Vágner Félix capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vágner Félix really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Vágner Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caribas SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Vágner Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wágner Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the game, Wiliam Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquerda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caribas SS the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Wiliam Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, one of Caribas SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caribas SS. In the 40th minute, Esquerda's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Osmar Albuquerque fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Elias de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esquerda's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias de Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fellipe Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dedé Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmar Albuquerque in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wágner Nunes saved Esquerda from getting behind. Wágner Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Félix in the 68th minute of the match. When Abel Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esquerda's protests and gave Abel Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. Osmar Albuquerque took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wágner Nunes. Wágner Nunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Vágner Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Wágner Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute Vágner Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esquerda's Wágner Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Albuquerque in the 83rd minute of play. Deivid Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Nunes having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Elias de Amaral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fellipe Vale, 3-2. 92 minutes into the game, Ademir Fontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caribas SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esquerda the free kick. 96 minutes into the match, Esquerda's goal looked a bit too open when Osmar Albuquerque came free, but Wágner Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Caribas SS had won after a very even match.
