When Erasmo Martins fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FOX's protests and gave Erasmo Martins a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes FOX got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Martins. If Arlindo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arlindo Carvalho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. FOX's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 26th minute Renatinho Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Wágner Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, FOX's Arlindo Carvalho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Arlindo Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Wágner Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Dedé Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wágner Nunes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Erasmo Martins. FOX's Wanderson Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias de Amaral in the 45th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renatinho Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes FOX got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Martins. 53 minutes into the game, Júnior Melo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Wanderson Vergílio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th match minute, Esquerda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. When Antônio Faria fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FOX's protests and gave Antônio Faria a yellow card for diving instead. Antônio Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Renatinho Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renatinho Soares took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wágner Nunes. Wágner Nunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Esquerda's Wágner Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Soares in the 68th minute of play. Renatinho Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Esquerda's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Carvalho came free, but Wágner Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arlindo Carvalho in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wágner Nunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FOX's Arlindo Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renatinho Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Esquerda's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Carvalho came free, but Wágner Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esquerda's goalkeeper Wágner Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Júnior Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Esquerda players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FOX.
