After a defensive mix-up in Paquara SC's zone, Renatinho Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Recife came out of the goal and Renatinho Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Paquara SC's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Corrêa came free, but Erik Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Paquara SC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Matheus Tasso hit a great ball. Adelino Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Ramos struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Sílvio Luís Goiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paquara SC. In the 29thth minute of the game Adelino Corrêa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paquara SC's Erik Recife was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 31 played minutes Paquara SC got a freekick which was hit by Afonsinho Rodrigues. In the 32nd minute of the match Faustão Vieira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Recife skillfully saved the ball. Hamílton Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Sílvio Luís Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hamílton Leme to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hamílton Leme in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Luís Goiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. MALAWI's Sílvio Luís Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Leme in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Didi Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Recife made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renatinho Cardoso in the 58th minute. Erik Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. MALAWI's Sílvio Luís Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Leme in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Ramos in the 66th minute of play forced MALAWI's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The MALAWI players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
