In the 6th minute Duda Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renatinho Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamílton Neiva, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tuparece's Renatinho Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duda Dracena in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Tuparece's Percy Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jano Botelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute of the match Elivélton da Silveira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renatinho Brito skillfully saved the ball. In the 28th minute, Thomás Tasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jano Botelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Percy Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jano Botelho having to interfere. Jano Botelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Percy Romero went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jano Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Meninos da Vila players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tuparece were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Percy Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Tuparece's Percy Romero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Duda Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meninos da Vila's supporters rose to their feet, but Duda Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renatinho Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thomás Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute.
