He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 10th minute Belmiro de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute Romeu Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Belmiro de Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Abreu was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. When Maurício Correia came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Pousos AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Correia couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Pousos AD's Eriberto Paulista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laerte Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laerte Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Correia's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Pousos AD's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro de Amaral came free, but Daniel Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Belmiro de Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hernani Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Daniel Abreu came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Curumu EC's Romeu Ortiz. But to his dismay, Romeu Ortiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Maurício Correia struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Laerte Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pousos AD. After having played for 62 minutes, Cássio Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pousos AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Manolo da Mata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pousos AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curumu EC the free kick. After 65 played minutes Pousos AD got a freekick which was hit by Manolo da Mata. Romeu Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Maurício Correia came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Pousos AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Correia couldn't finish the play. Belmiro de Amaral was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Curumu EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurício Correia in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laerte Mota saved Curumu EC from getting behind. In the 83rd match minute, Curumu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Curumu EC booed when Pousos AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manolo da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Pousos AD's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro de Amaral came free, but Daniel Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Mamon Sarkhoh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91stth minute of the game Romeu Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pousos AD's Daniel Abreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Pousos AD booed when Curumu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Curumu EC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Pousos AD's much stronger midfield.
