The throw-in from Guga das Neves in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Outeiro SS's Emílio Baiano. Marquinhos Simão struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Olívio Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Outeiro SS. The supporters of Outeiro SS booed when Novilho AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Donatello Ramalho made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Outeiro SS defense, Gernando Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vitório Gaspar. The Outeiro SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vitório Gaspar should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Donatello Ramalho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vitório Gaspar, 0-3. Novilho AD's Donatello Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 71 minutes, Emílio Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Outeiro SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitório Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gernando Madureira in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute Fred Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olívio Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Nascimento in the 78th minute of play. The Novilho AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
