Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robinho Negri started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Vargem EC's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Negri came free, but Eugênio Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vargem EC's zone, Luisão Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugênio Lira came out of the goal and Luisão Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Robinho Negri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugênio Lira was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Brebe FC's Robinho Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nildo Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Félix having to interfere. The supporters of Brebe FC booed when Vargem EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Robinho Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes, Duarte Terra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brebe FC and the Vargem EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brebe FC's Duarte Terra got a free kick in the 18th minute. Nildo Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Robinho Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brebe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robinho Negri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugênio Lira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 minutes, Wellington Gaspar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brebe FC and the Vargem EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo da Fonseca in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Félix saved Brebe FC from getting behind. When Haroldo da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Vargem EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Robinho Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Lira having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Vargem EC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Rezende. The Vargem EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brebe FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haroldo da Fonseca made a kick off. Mané da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jorge Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luisão Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brebe FC's Jorge Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané da Silveira in the 58th minute of play. Vargem EC's Eugênio Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robinho Negri in the 59th minute of play. Haroldo da Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Félix having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrique Teixeira during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vargem EC booed when Brebe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Luisão Alcântara fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Eugênio Lira made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Luisão Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th match minute, Vargem EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Rezende to maneuver through the defense. Eugênio Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Negri in the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané da Silveira in the 75th minute of play forced Brebe FC's goalkeeper Jorge Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vargem EC's Augusto Rezende got a free kick in the 79th minute. Luisão Alcântaras short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Eugênio Lira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Robinho Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Eugênio Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Rezende's late challenge caught a Brebe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Rezende helped the player get up and apologised. Brebe FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
