Pedro Paulo Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Velasco having to interfere. Eduardo Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséas Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Nuno Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Matos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Florinea EC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Rui Simões hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match, Rui Simões got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ulisses de Azevedo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Virgílio Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ulisses de Azevedo made a huge save. Virgílio Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. With a left leg Ulisses de Azevedo saved Jiquiri FC from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Jiquiri FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Baiano came free, but Ulisses de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th play minute Virgílio Breckenfeld came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ulisses de Azevedo. 0-2. When Severino da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florinea EC's protests and gave Severino da Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. Rubens Gerber shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 85th minute, Florinea EC's Benjamim Baiano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ulisses de Azevedo. Ulisses de Azevedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 90th minute Sandrinho Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Carvalho in the 91st minute of the match. Florinea EC's Eduardo Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Passos in the 93rd minute of play.
